It Snowed !!!

Liza loves the snow. We have to close her dog door after a snowstorm otherwise she practices hockey-stops around the yard until she is one giant furry snowball and will sleep outside in a snowbank at night.

Kearns Touchdown

Ian started the game against Hillcrest by returning their opening kick-off for the first touchdown of the game. I'm not sure what TD this video is, but the whole game was about this easy. It was just a sad day for Kearns.

Battle for Yards

Hillcrest was definitely outsized against West and had to fight for every yard. They really together played as a team, fighting for each other on the field.

Dance Video

For everyone I talked out of trekking up to Avyrlie's performance, we'll host a video party once we get our copy of the studio's DVD recording. In the meantime, I did record her rehearsal the night before for your viewing pleasure. If you lose track of her, she is the girl with her tongue hanging out (a trait she learned from the dog) and is usually dancing to her own tune.

The laughing and giggling you can here as they skip around is Avyrlie of course. She was just as giggly in the performance the next night. She loves that they are supposed to be teasing Gaston through the scene :)

My favorite bit is around 4:18 where she just gets tired of standing there ;)

Avyrlie the Texas Girl

Escape Attempt

We watched these guys for quite a while as they made various uncoordinated escape attempts. This guy was especially entertaining for both us and his partners in crime.

Avyrlie's First Dance Class

Avyrlie was much more excited about the idea of dance class than the actual dance class this time around. She came out at half-time and asked if I saw all the beautiful poses she did for me :) She also spent a fair amount of time practicing poses in front of the mirror.
She did stay on task and paid attention to the instructor pretty well. I think overall she'll really enjoy it. On the way home she explained to me that she didn't need to go to school now because she has a class already and mom can just take her to dance in the morning from now on instead of preschool. So cute.
To clarify 'half-time': the first half of the class is tap, and the second half is ballet. They all come out to have their moms (and me) change their shoes.

These are from the last game again Northern Extreme in the play-offs. Ian had a great game and managed to exact his revenge on #7 in the process :)

Saturday Football

Hillcrest did much better this weekend, but still needs a little polishing. They are still a bit sloppy and make some silly mistakes. I put together a couple clips.
First is Ian scoring while the lady next to me is screaming "Hit 'em!!!!" Then an interception (not Ian but a sweet play). Next Ian pulling out the moves for a great run and touchdown. Finally Hayden with an Avyrlie takedown.

Scrimmage Clip

We scrimmaged a PeeWee team (a year younger than us) from Bingham who is freakishly large and pretty good. These were two of my favorite clips. Ian had a bunch of good hits but this was the only good one that videoed well. Also, it is not my voice you hear in the video.
